What Factors Promote Wrinkles?

Wrinkles are due to ageing of the skin from loss of underlying collagen which results in creasing and wrinkling of the skin. This is aided by such factors as exposure to sun, smoking, dehydration, malnutrition, light skin type, heredity, occupation and recreational habits. Wrinkles may appear as fine lines or deep furrows. Several products have been promoted to prevent or reduce the severity of wrinkles. It is however obvious that preventative measures like avoiding sun damage, stopping smoking, good nutrition and hydration are perhaps of utmost importance.
